A tiny pasticceria in the backstreets of Carlton. Menu rotates every week, but the Honey & Sea Salt Croissant is a must-try.
A coffee staple in Melbourne. If I ever get coffee outside of home, it’s probably from Market Lane. (But, I also have Market Lane beans at home!)
Sure, the head chef’s a MasterChef judge, but when I went, they got not one, but two (!!) coffee orders wrong, and then later, I got food poisoning. Big yikes. The food at the time (a “smashed pumpkin” number with eggs benny) was alright though.
Not sure if I liked it, but they were quite proud of their (rather large) pizza crusts. Good, chill vibes though, and the dessert was a highlight for me. Every now and then I dream of that spiced gelato, and that oh-so decadent tiramisu.
Great little breakfast/brunch spot near Mornington. Pretty cosy warehouse vibes too, with a lot of food options. Try their “coffee paddle”!
Probably the only best Asian food this side of Victoria. Pretty fancy too.
